Location: Hybrid (Reading, London, and Midlands)

Salary: up to £26000 per year

Experience: Minimum Three years

Start Date: Feb/March 2023 (May be early than anticipated)

Qualification: BSc Computer Science, Computer Networks, or relevant field

Job Responsibilities 

Senior system administrator will be responsible for Windows, UNIX, Linux based platforms in relation to application function and performance.

• Active Directory Administration, VMWARE – ESXi – Dell, IBM BLADE Centre H, Cisco UCS.

• Attend customer sites to Installs and upgrades all applications across on-premise and Cloud platforms.

• Performing User Acceptance testing and getting approval on successful completion.

• Troubleshooting issues with containerized applications running on Docker or Kubernetes

• Assists in installing, configuring, and operating monitoring software and data bases.

• Develop documentations describing installation specific configurations and processes.

• Perform on call duty to provide remote support to customer, company engineers and staff.

• Experience maintaining applications

• Experience administrating Linux and Windows operating systems

• Knowledge of SQL Server/Databases

• Knowledge and experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of Cloud Technologies (Azure)

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or similar is preferable.
